Is there an optimal number of participants for effective interaction in a blog? Would a group of 4 students be more effective than 15 each trying to contribute to the discussion?
If a student went back to edit their contributions to a wiki, is there a way they can mark up the original text with highlighting or other features that show what they are doing or would the two versions have to be compared by printing out the hard copy of each?

This is a terrific tool for a longitudinal research study on language acquisition in a study abroad context. Is there a way to post photographs, video, text and have students comment on them? Is the corpora tool specific to English or can it be used in Spanish?
What is the typical discourse like on a blog in comparison to email? Do students write full sentences in paragraph form using cohesive devices? In other words, do they consider their entries a form of essay they are writing or do you find a more abbreviated form of discourse? Would an abbreviated form of discourse constrain the value of the data as evidence of language acquisition?
How realistic is it to expect students to put accent marks on if it requires an added step? Would that constrain the analysis of morphological elements of their discourse?
