Initial reflections
I have been using Blogs to post my “Journal” type of comments about my teaching.
I’ve been hoping to have more interactive activities with my students (elementary school students).
For upper grade (4th & 5th) who are already comfortable for typing in English and Japanese, I may be able to ask them to keep weekly journal on their blogs. This may be very encouraging for students.
But then, I was wondering if the teacher can be only an administrator for all the students’ web blogs using this Blog engine??
The whole idea of keeping tracks of students’ activities digitally over the school year is exciting. Because many classroom teachers are using digital portfolio. Is there any dictionary/spell-check function for this blog service or others?
