I think I missed something … is there some type of software we need to set up wikis?

One thing that discourages me is that many of the people I work with feel so “overworked” because Spanish classes are always FULL and we teach on the average twice as many students as our French colleagues and at least 3 times as many students as our German colleagues and this kind of change, i.e., cooperation/collaboration, will take TIME to set up and mediate. I need to see what kind of “carrot” we might be able to offer to get some people to try out something new. I think the excitement of how well the “something new” will work will help carry on once it gets started.
The possibilities are mind-boggling; I see many applications but I think I need to choose one or two and start with them. For instance, I will be teaching a literature course (European literature in English translation) July-August and the idea of using one of the technologies we have been discussing to give the less vocal students a chance to participate really interests me …
It seems to me that blogging would be a very good way for foreign language teaching interns/methods students [our teaching candidates do “student teaching” and methods class at the same time] to do their reflections/reflective journal entries. BUT I can see that it needs to be very structured and that I need to talk to Jon about how he does it.
